- A trump beats any non-trump card.
- A trump can only be beaten by a higher trump.
- A new attack must have a rank already present among the attack or defense cards.
- After the battle, players draw back up to 6, starting with the main attacker and ending with the defender.
Score
- No points for tricks; players are ranked by the order in which they go out.
- Series option: 1 win on first out and 1 loss in Durak, with no monetary stake.
End of game
- When the stock is empty, players no longer draw.
- Players with no cards leave the round after the fight is resolved.
- The last player still holding cards is Durak.
Locked special cases and variants
- If all players empty their hands at the same time and no one remains, the round is a draw.
- Perevodnoy Durak (transfer), jokers and the 52-card deck are disabled.
Artificial intelligence
The AI uses only its hand, public cards, the allowed history, and the legal actions sent by the server.
Easy
Chooses only among legal actions, with some randomness and no deep lookahead.
Normal
Uses a stable heuristic strategy, taking into account the score, the turn, and the visible cards.
Hard
Evaluates multiple action sequences, remembers public information, and limits tactical mistakes.
- Easy attacks low and defends with the lowest card that wins.
- Normal saves trumps, adds ranks the defender seems not to have, and takes the stock into account.
- Hard remembers all public cards and plans endgame play when the stock is empty.
